Walking
Rockcliffe is a great location for walking. The Kippford to Sandyhills Coastal Walk passes through the village. Forest and Loch walks from our door step.
National Trust for Scotland

Rockcliffe is surrounded by land owned and managed by the NTS. The Jubilee Path takes you to the neighbouring village of Kippford. You can walk to Rough Island via a causeway at low tide ( except nesting season ).

Local properties to visit owned by Historic Scotland and National Trust for Scotland. Visit Threave Gardens and Broughton House. Drumlanrig Castle, Cerlaverlock and Dundrennan Abbey.

Dumfries and Galloway is renowned for its art scene both now and in the past. The area holds a number of annual arts festival. Head to Kirkcudbright to visit many galleries. Visit Broughton House home of Hornel one of the Glasgow Boys.

Our mild climate produces a rich larder of local produce and the area is putting itself on the food map. Castle Douglas has artisan bakers The Earths Crust, chocolatiers In House Chocolates, handcrafted real ale from the Sulwath Brewery.
Glorious Gardens

The mild climate of Dumfries and Galloway lends itself to a variety of gardens to visit. Threave is renowned for its daffodils and Rhododendrons, Logan one of the Royal Botanic Gardens is the country's most exotic garden and worth a visit.
